Ravensthorpe Reservoir
Fish 938 Returns 78 Rod average 12.0
Anglers have enjoyed superb fishing during the first full week of the season at Ravensthorpe with a rod average of 12. The best fish of the week was estimated at 12lb plus.

Last Monday both the bank and boat fished well with Keith Bowen boating 16 fish. The Platforms produced for Kevin Daykin, Rob Layton, Mark Bradbury and Chris White. Chris caught and released a 12lb plus specimen fish. Lures worked well, including Pitsford Pea, orange blob and grey minkies have produced most fish but as the week progressed more fish have been caught on buzzers, diawl bachs and p.t.n’s.

Boat fishing is best between 50-100 metres from the bank, along Mongers and Blythe Island. Bank fishing has been best from Platforms 3-8 but the Dam has also fished well in a favourable wind. Alan Duffin has once again enjoyed success with the buzzer producing many fish including specimens of 5lb 2oz and 6lb 3oz.

Best Rainbow 12lb approx, returned by Chris White.

Best boat areas Mongers, Tall Willows, the Island.

Best bank areas Mongers Bank, the Dam, the Domes.

Best methods See report.

Mid week boat winner John Smith.
