PRESS RELEASE

Anglers with tall tales of “the one that got away” at a Shropshire hotel complex are being asked to share their memories.

Patshull Park Hotel, Golf and Country Club, in Pattingham, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

And to help celebrate, General Manager Stephen Kimbell has launched a search for people with stories to tell about their experiences at the complex.

“Patshull is renowned for its Fishing Lodge and lakes, and we know that many of our anglers have been coming here for years.

“Now we want to hear from anglers who have memories to share of the time when the complex first opened in around 1979.

“We believe the 18-hole parkland golf course opened first in that year, with the first guests checking into The Temple Hotel, as it was then called, the following summer.

“And we’d be delighted to hear from anglers who can help us to fill in the gaps of the early days here at Patshull, as we hope to put together a selection of commemorative literature to mark the anniversary.”

Patshull Park will also be inviting some of the people who have had links with the complex during the past 25 years to a special anniversary gala dinner,
Anyone with memories they think would help staff to prepare for the landmark anniversary should write to Stephen Kimbell at Patshull Park Hotel, Golf and Country Club, in Pattingham,
