TF_FishmanHi all
I am on the look out for a new pole, and as the subject implies, I’m looking to spend up £1500 to get this. Does anyone out there have any recommendations.

TF_piperpilotSeeing a few mint Garbo Gmax1000’s coming onto the market around that price and if I didn’t have one already I’d be buying one myself. Magnificent pole and one that will no doubt be around for a few years unlike some others that are replaced every year by so called better??? models,

TF_saratogahave a look at the gmax 800 if your buying new.this is a superb piece of kit.
a mate of mine got rid of his airity and replaced it with the gmax 800.
one thing for certain buying a garbolino means you will be getting a true 16 m pole aswell. -

TF_GavinAnother vote here for the G-Max 800, and with the newer spares deal too you’ll be getting a bloody good package too.

AnonymousIf you can maybe put another £100 into the coffers you may be able to get yourself a brand new Sensas 774 or possibly a Browning Z9.
Both are flag ship poles by the their respective companys and both definately worth considering. -

TF_Fred DavisA mate of mine has just bought a G-max 8000 and isn’t best pleased as he has had a few problems with the female end of the joints splitting including a 3rd joint that split all the way down the seam the short 4th, 6th section and a fourth have also incurred the same problem, he commented to me that the pole is advertised as fit for anything the Uk match fishing scene could throw at it, I think he is just unlucky as others like gavin really rate this pole
