        REPORT
The slightly milder conditions at the start of the week saw a gradual thaw and by Thursday there were a lot of pegs free of ice.

Little Gearys was the heaviest fished with 23 on the Vets match on Tuesday and most caught albeit very low weights with skimmers and small roach making up most of the catches with the odd F1’s showing. The car park side was the best for bigger F1’s with fish to 2lb coming to red maggot or pellet on the pole. On Willow, pegs 5 and 6 were the best with F1’s and skimmers in nets to double figures with maggots, pinkies or 3mm expanders the best baits. The aerator has been keeping pegs 1 – 5 clear on Molands and the few that fished it have caught small roach and perch on maggots and pinkies along with the occasional chub to 3lb. The high bank of Gearys cleared through the week and the open was planned for Saturday and despite the heavy snow and the lakes freezing up four anglers decided to give it a go! Only two weighed in with roach and perch coming to maggots or fluro pinkies. A couple of anglers ventured on to the river last week and were rewarded with a few chub to 3lb caught on bronze maggot or the stick float.

ANGLERS PLEASE TELEPHONE THE FISHERY BEFORE COMING, TO ENSURE THE POOLS ARE OPEN.
