        Due to holidays my team is a couple of anglers short for a match on the k&a canal on Sunday its the north wessex league so not angling times affiliated. The venue is at great bedwyn where I did the rod and reel article in this months match fishing mag. Pm me if your interested. Rich

          Hiya Rich,

          What type of match is it likely to be?

          Distances fished, bait, tactics etc? You might get a bite from further afield if you could give a little more info.

          What time is the draw, entrance, etc?

          Fortunately (for yourself) I’m not ‘match fit’ but may be able to get you someone or volunteer if you are really in the sh*t, as my brother lives down your way.

            Good idea Mark, here goes:
            the draw is at Marlborough Football club at 8am fish 10-3 pools are £15 with an optional £5 super pool. Its an 84 pegger (providing we fill these 2 places) and the previous winners have picked up in the region of £350!
            On the last 2 wednesdays there have been matches fished on either end of sundays match length and they have been won with 16lb of skimmers and 10lb of roach respectively. B&J is banned so the main baits are squatts and breadpunch for the roach and casters and chopped worms for the skimmers/perch. If you buy this months match fishing mag, I have done a feature on the same stretch just to give you an idea what to expect.
