Piara Powar, executive director of Football Against Racism in Europe, believes the FA would be within its rights to charge Liverpool and its manager Kenny Dalglish over their handling of the situation.

“Liverpool have constantly undermined the investigation and its outcome,” he told BBC Sport.

“They have been disrespectful to the FA and questioned its integrity and have not been charged . WHY NOT

seems the poison has spread to the once respected kop. oldham player reduced to tears by alleged racial abuse last night. im 62 i lived through the rise of liverpool F.C . there supporters were the best by a street, scallies yes but fair and well informed. they policed there own at games. i stood on the kop to watch a 3rd round cup game vs aldershot. i was put there by stupid security men. when the lads around me found out they actually looked after me to the point were we became firm friends for years after. whilst i as an united fan hate the scouse gits i actually have a great deal of respect for there fans and would hope that the F/A will deal with this in context that one prick in 25,000 doe,s not make that club bad. having said that i also think king kenny is a prat for speaking to taggart through the press instead of a direct respectful approach that most decent men would do. mans a disaster area, not a messiah.
