saw a documentary on t.v. showing a new hobby that is gaining pace and claiming to be the best hobby in england. most of it was filmed just down the road, i mean within walking distance.

        the hobby is called “beerticking”.
it involves going around drinking beer. real ale to be precise.
a minimum of half pint, recording the brewery, brew, strength of the ale and the pub it was drank.

it is not about binge drinking or getting drunk, you can even take a bottle with you and put half a pint in it to take it home and drink it at your leisure.

will it catch on? will it ever become as popular as fishing? do people really want to go around drinking beer? lol

        sign me up.

There have been a few hairy, bearded, corduroy and sandal wearing saddo’s doing this as soon as lager and fizzed up beer appeared in the 60’s. You can see them at every ‘beer festival’ around the country. Most of them have shares in tiny breweries up and down the land. That was before the drink drive laws when there was a pub every 1/2 mile down every country lane.

So, will it finally catch on after 50 years?

No, except for a few hairy, bearded, corduroy and sandal wearing saddo’s ~naughty
