Right then lads I think it is fair to say that on this forum (for all the right reasons) we sometimes play on peoples wording , spelling & misinterpretations of what people say to score a point or two , but how good are we at seeing the wood for the trees ? Having just had to do an assessment centre to reapply for my job I thought it may be a bit of fun to see how we do with a little bit of verbal reasoning. Below is a link to some fairly straightforward training assessments see how you do and let us know , Caster Rob & NWCA I really would like to know your scores lads as I think your 2 of the best posters around . Surely its good to know that you are more knowlegable than a 23 percentile of the people tested.

Just did that.

Scored 22 out of 30 which apparently put me in the 68th percentile of 582 entrants!

I’ll add that I wouldn’t like to have to do that to try and keep my job. It’s the sort of thing you could easily take the wrong way and score disastrously.

I’m not convinced how useful these things are in determining applicant suitability and think that the HR brigade benefit from them more than anybody else, which is code for:

Sumo would love to do, but cant really be bothered. I will get a job in the new year promise. Right now though I have to collect my benefits and dole money. The tax payers will pay for the rest..

I got 9 but I never have been one for apptitude tests, all that says about a person is that you can comprehend what’s written. It says nothing about your attitude or ability to make decisions. I guess employers use them a lot but I have only ever taken a couple in my life as I have only every worked for someone else perhaps 2-3 years of my life, I am sure they have their reasons for using such tests but I would much rather have someone that works for me that can insipre others

23 out of 30 , I have seen these in Interview assesments before. I dont think they are the right way to go to be honest , as it does not show how an individual is , and if they really have any common sense , which in most jobs is what 90% of what you need.

20/30,i did rush the last 3 though,quite an interesting read.

I now know how to create an authentic American Indian from embryonic stem cell research,whilst sharing a salt pot with the only child of a chinese couple,i am gladly reassured that the american indian & the chinese child will be comfortably well of due to them both practicing mutualism by joining a credit union,whose theme tune is ebony n ivory.
