Just to say a quick thanks to users for sticking with us through the transition of Total-Fishing from the old platform to the new site.
It was not without pain but all that was expected as we were switching from asp to php.
Almost exactly one month on, traffic is now back to the levels before we switched (around 40,000 monthly unique users) and on an upward curve – so thanks for sticking with us and coming back. Also thanks to Paul (admin) for working through the issues.
We hope you like the new design. The main reasons for the switch was that the old forum was totally outdated and the site bespoke, and far too expensive to develop.
The new site is far more search engine friendly and PHP is much more cost effective to develop – I have a number of things I have wanted to do with Total-Fishing for several years now and with the PHP platform I now have the opportunity to do them – when I get the time in between my real job of producing the video magazines, and when I have the money!!
Anyway, thanks for sticking with Total-Fishing and please spread the word about the free to view video magazines (https://www.total-fishing.com/tv-video ) which in my view at the most exciting thing EVER to happen in the online angling community….
