TF_Simon PISSUE NOW RESOLVED!!

TF_Mikey .J.I had the same problem once, i sent out a section (very well packaged though) and it arrived in two pieces. I asked the buyer to send the section back to me and i would refund what they payed plus the postage to send it back. I then never bothered to chase it up with the company as like you said it was months before they come out, it’s enough to put anyone off. Also if your parcel wasn’t packaged appropriately they wont refund you anyway!! So you could wait all that time for no pay out!
The guy should refund you and you send the sections back to him.
Failing this, turn up at his door and break things.

TF_baitchefParticipantSi, I don’t mean to be a doom merchant or anything but I recently had a scenario where i sent some pole sections off to be repaired. The courier smashed them into bits and it took me over 3 months!!! and god knows how many emails to get a payout from the shipping company. Even though they state that try to complete all claims within 28 days!!

TF_Smedive had the same problem with parcel force
2 pole sections i posted on the same day to 2 different locations, very well packed in bubble wrap and plastic rod tubes both arrived snapped in 2!
the rod tubes both had marks on the outside looked like they had been bent in half!
i filed a claim with them with photos and everything, this went on for months! in the end i refunded both buyers and told them to keep the sections, parcel force said the items were inadequatly packed and closed the case!ill never post a rod, pole, section ever again!
not with parcel force anyway!! -

TF_Simon PB.C i take your point……
HOWEVER…. surely any “refund” between ME as the CUSTOMER and the SELLER should be actioned in the first instance.
I have sent goods in the past, if broken i will give an immediate full refund once proof of damage is obtained….. then and only then pursue the claim with couriers to get my monies back.
Why should i be left out of pocket at this end, waiting months for the SELLER to obtain a refund or possible refund and then pass it on….. surely the claim is between the SELLER & COURIER to sort out?????
Is the above wrong or am i just to honest?????
What happens when and if as stated above any claim is closed without refund???
The seller has delayed refund at every hurdle also promised refunds then not actioned them….. to wait a couple of months is just not on!!!! (I.M.O)

TF_Mikey .J.You’re not in the wrong at all, in my opinion it’s his duty to sort it out. You havent recieved what you paid for. Its upto him to make sure that they get to you in the condition promised. If you’d have bought it through ebay you would have been refunded and they’d have ruled in your favour. Guess thats the problem is paying as a gift. We put our faith in that person being honest. This guy obviously isnt. Name and shame….i dont want to buy anything of this guy!

TF_Fred Davishaving worked as a senior manager for a parcel courier the claim for compensation due to the parcel arriving damaged is the responsability of the sender, he should claim for the items he sent to you and give you an immidiate full refund it is also his responsabilty to arrange collection of the items from you or pay for the return postage of the items to him, as a customer you bought the items from him in good faith, they arrived damaged that is not your fault, it is either the fault of the sender (insufficient packaging) or the courier involved. I would insist on a full refund and any postage costs you incur in returning said items
Give the lad a chance to respond as he may be checking out where he stands on the matter if not name and shame

TF_Simon PThanks for the info chaps.
I wont “name and shame” due to it becoming an open air slanging match & that wont benefit anyone.
Hopefully this post will jog his guilty conscience and a refund will be on its way.
NOT happy at all though, broken promises and dodging the issue from the said seller has p@@@@d me off!!!

TF_Leaky Lloydsorry to hear this mate, but if it does turn out that you are being lead a merry dance and in the worste case ,completely diddled,
then i would suggest it would be better for the tf comunity to know who this person is!
its what i would do personally
i wouldnt want people to be had round the corner like i was!i wouldnt do it just yet though dude, cos as seen before on this and other forums, situations that at 1st seem lost causes can and do turn out to have perfectly reasonable explinations!!!
good luck with it though matey!!

Average-AlParticipantMaybe I’m a fool and take people on trust too readily but I have sold a few items on this site and always sent the item on the understanding that the buyer only send payment when he has received the item and is happy with it. I will end up disappointed one day but up to now my trust has been well founded.
