Match ace Andy Findlay shows how he approaches a commercial fishery in winter.
Andy ‘The Fin’ Findlay is a legend on the commercial fishery match scene where he’s won countless matches with huge bags of carp in excess of 150lb. In his latest must-have DVD, Andy takes the cameras to the Lizzard Pool on Phase Two at Makins, a venue he fishes throughout the winter.
During the winter months, feeding, presentation and accuracy become paramount as fish are generally reluctant to feed in cold water. Different tactics are called for compared to those used during the summer, and in this DVD Andy explains his bomb and pole approach (with corn and hemp) that serves him well wherever he fishes in winter.
As usual, he goes into great detail to explain his rigs, baits and feeding tactics as he sets about catching some carp on typical winter’s day with an icy easterly wind blowing.
