General
Still some good quantities of fish being caught both at dead bottom or up in the water.
Cold nights, rain and winds last week contributed to a water temperature drop of 4 deg this week, taking water temperatures down to 10.1 deg by Sunday. You now need to have at least 2 differing methods of fishing e.g. Tip/bomb and float/pole and use watercraft to choose pegs and to deterrming the method you use to fish. Advice would be if you are not catching on one method then change to an alternative method.

Bait needs to be considered well in cooler water temperatures, with maggots, caster, worm and pellets doing well, mussel and prawns are still working, but make your luncheon meat cubes smaller.

Feed needs to be a lot less as well in cooler water temperatures but you do need to put some small amounts in, groundbait and hemp are good attractants as is savoury flavoured liquid additives the smellier the better e.g. minging fish, Predator plus.

Bowes

Has fished well with large bream appearing to be feeding up for the cold weather ahead as over 20 caught this week, the best was young Anthony Robertson 15 yrs old from Newcastle taking his PB at 9lb 7oz, carp are also feeding up well and still fighting well when caught giving great sport.

Lookout
Some good numbers caught this week silvers catching throughout the day and carp catching up to 10.30 am then switching of till 2 ish and coming back on to feed, so following the traditional dusk and dawn feeding patterns. Lots of bream and skimmers also crucians are being caught as well as Orfe, rudd, roach, perch, ide, and tench feeding up well, carp really giving some fight and feeding very well.
