It’s SOLID mate! The carp average 5-6lb but there’s loads around the 8lb-12lb mark with a few bigger if you’r lucky 😮 I would fish 6mm expander over 4mm pellet at around 7m out but if the rudd are a problem switch to 8mm meat and feed some cubes too. Set up a margin rig on your top kit and on the all in drop down with a 8mm cube of meat as you can normally catch 1 or maybe 2 lumps straight away. The other line i would have is at the bottom of the shelf which is around top 4 to 5m out, fish slightly up it and again with meat and 4mm pellet but also have a paste rig set up and just use the paste to feed them. Feeding to much bait there is not what you want to do as there’s so many carp that you’ll get linered to death.
Also take plenty of keepnets, minimum 4 as the rules there can be iffy at times as they are different for everyone it seems. When I last fished it last year in the summer the water level was well down and it was a 10 fish per net/40lb limit. However the water level will have come right up now so this will probably not be the case.
