TF_waveydavey21Hi,
Just wondered have many used the above site.

coxp001ParticipantBought 2 browning king feeder rods off them last week and they arrived yesterday
Paid less than £90 each including postage and insurance
Saved at least £100 on the deal
Well impressed
Told rocket feeder and he saved himself £80 on the price for 1 rod as well -

TF_squattReally glad of this post. Found the site ages ago but bought my King feeder from UK as I was worried about buying from Germany. Not now more King feeders on the way.

TF_bbbackshotParticipantWhich of the king feeder range would be the best for lough Ken in sept? to be able to chuck but also detect bites? also does anyone knoe of any articles/advice on the venue as it will be a first visit? Thanks

coxp001ParticipantGet the 14ft one. This will cover all the situations. They come with 1oz through to 4oz tips and 2oz is fine enough
In sept you shouldn’t have to chuck mega distances maybe only 60 yds but will need a large feeder in order to get plenty of bait in so you need a rod powerful enough for this
You need strong gear ie 12s / 10s hooks and 6lb hooklenghts and use bunches of maggots, worm or corn
A lot tend to use fishmeal groundbaits now but I personally don’t and I can’t say I suffer for itPaul

Hi mate, got a pair of the BM FD 665’s in January. Had Daiwa TDA3500’s previously for 7 years or so. After using the reels for a couple of months I am very impressed with them, I paid £90 each which is a bargain IMO. Do they add distance to my casting? I think so, not as much as some people will have you think (its all technique IMO, not reel size), but they do seem to make it easier to hit 80+ yards. Will they last 7 years like the Daiwas? I have no idea, I don’t see why not as long as I get them serviced every year. They have bags of winding power and they actually balance against the rod very nicely. When you first see them they look far too big and heavy for a feeder rod, but they feel ‘right’ when using them. I have them on a King Feeder 15ft and a 13.5ft Tricast Triune (although I have a 14ft King Feeder now which will replace the triune) and they feel and work a treat. The only gripe I have is that the handle is slightly too heavy, when you leave the reel with the handle facing forward the weight of the handle causes it to rotate downwards, which obviously causes the tip to pull round nice and slowly. Hence why I’ve lifted into several phantom Bream bites whilst fishing matches and ultimately looked like a right tit. Despite this minor gripe I would recommend the reels to anyone who fishes long distance or who fishes with big feeders.
