AnonymousIm gutted!!
12-13 months ago i used to draw my peg without praying and thinking about it, and, i seemed to get good enough pegs that i could easily compete from.I built a good reputation up at my local lakes and won far more than my share of opens…but it seems to have all gone wrong at the draw bag for the last year!! Ive had a tough year seeming to get all the worst pegs and having to scratch around for bites ive drawn with my left hand, right hand, first, last, middle.NO difference.CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A GUIDER INTO HOW I CAN DRAW some good pegs week in week out just like some of the other anglers do.please! This saturday we had a full lake, my hand went in and pulled out peg1 which is so bad it is ALWAYS left out,it was in as the turn out was overbooked! help -

TF_dirkdigglerstop thinking about it altogether.
i was tying myself in knots with all the rabbits foot four leaf clover rubbish for a good few years.
then one day i thought this is a load of old gypo mumbo jumbo sod it and started putting whichever sock i liked on first in a morning, putting my shoes on the table etc etc and just putting my hand in the bag at the draw and since my mindset changed ive been drawing a lot better. -

TF_Bear361ParticipantNever go to your peg thinking its a bad draw, if you think you`ve drawn crap, I think you fish half heartedly, just fish positively and you`ll make our own luck.

If only it were that easy !!! there are loads of bad draws which are exactly that bad draws, personally id rather not know I fish a few different venues and One thing I hate is when you draw and some pillock looks over you shoulder, sighs and says “glad thats gone “

TF_Bear361ParticipantI totally agree AW , thats why I say just go feeling positive to any peg. It works the same if someone says “oh mate, your on a flier” so you run to your peg full of confidence and after 2 hours and 1 small roach in your bag you start to think maybe you shouldn`t listen to the hype? I know there are loads of pegs you`ll never win from but I just hope I can do good enough to try and force the section? All I mean is if you draw bad never give up. I`ve seen good anglers who every week are there or there abouts and if you didn`t look at their draws you would swear they drew well every week but if you did look at their draws they just fish well. Wished I knew how they fished well? lol

TF_AnthonywatersParticipantPunch meat another factor which will enable you to draw better is to visit fairer venues, places with uniform pegs tend to be fairer in my opinion, i dont like it when you go somewhere and feature pegs dominate and you end up stuck in some corner full of rotting leaves like I did last week 😀

TF_lumptry to think what’s the best you can do from your draw, sometimes a section is the best you can do. that said, always try to go with an open mind.

TF_allyParticipantYou just need to start fishing team matches, then you don’t need to draw yourself
