Well, for the 3rd year on the trot i bought it forward another week to avoid the ice, and for the 3rd year on the trot it froze over a week earlier!
55 booked on, i tried to get anglers to drop out as i know you wont get a bite on the big lake if you break ice, so eventually had 24 turn up, perfect as that’s how many pegs i have on the match lake, so we all got on there.
Winner, Jason Shiley with 61 F1s for 28lb, 2nd Andy May with 40 F1s for 26lb.
Nice diner in the restaurant after, and loads of prizes, as there over 55 to start with, so i tapped prizes together to give them all away, a few left over went to the local kids fishing club.
Next year it may be in August!
