i have some tried it for the feeder fishing not earth shattering, casts well , no stretch however its wirey stuff is a nightmare to tie knots and i belive its not the most unobtrusive line in the world frankly i wouldnt bother oh its bloody expensive too, nuff said i think. 😉

Pro’s. I have used the .04 the last 2 Saturdays on the feeder for small skimmers. It casts like a dream and as it has such a low diameter that it cuts through the tow very well allowing the use of lighter leads and tips. This allows you to detect the tiniest of bites that skimmmers tend to give at this time of the year. I can’t wait to use it on the R Yare in the summer when again the feeder could probably be lightened and the bites are likely to be dramatic!

Cons. Even on the carbotec I felt every nod of the skimmers and worried about hook pulls. I have suffered 2, but on both occasions when I looked at the hook the pinkie in one case and the maggot in the other had turned over on the size 20 I was using. I also got my finger burned as a carp took off last weekend. It is so thin, it really hurt! It takes a while to sink it.
Oh and the price.

I have some of the 0.10mm which I havn’t used yet.

I have however used a mic on it and it comes out as 0.12mm (I tried it along various lengths and it was 0.12mm all along).

0.12 is still a super diameter if the breaking strain of 5.732kg (12lbs 9ozs ish) is correct.

Like Punchcrumb said it could be a better colour (in my opinion, i’m just a tart though lol).

Super thin casts like a dream hardly any stretch, Hmmm sounds like a good candidate for a pellet wag line??! You’d be able to use lighter wags and get better distance….. not used it but heard its a Ba@@@rd to knot tho because its so slippy. Not great then?? Any views anyone….

Must say I’m tempted to take a look at it, but can’t see what I’d use it for. Reels for the feeder are already spooled with either Braid or Line depending on how far I want to chuck and what I’m after. Don’t fish running line floats enough to justify it. Can’t see the point in it for rig line, as its diameter suggests it’s going to cut into floats too easily (unless I upgrade all my floats to foam bodies!). Hooklengths might be a possibility, but the only advantage is the diam, which means it could be used to present baits for carp on 0.06, but wouldn’t it be like cheeswire on them? Anyone help me with a justification for it?

Having used for feeder fishing i cannot see it being any good as a rig line as although berkley claim it has no memory it is quite wirey off the spool and unless you tighten up really hard to the feeder you still get a curl coming off the tip, so i doubt it would hang straight enough for rig line and hooklengths forget it.

used this 2 weeks ago for the 1st time after overcoming the knot problems,
it casts like a dream doesn’t bow or pick up the wind sinks as well as most braids is smooth through the rings 🙂 BUT now this was the .08 at the end of a day fishing effortlessly at 75 yards small 50gm feeder hitting clip and marker like it really wasn’t blowing a gale which it was, impressive
chucked the empty feeder aggressively to remove the clip and ping 12 quids worth of nano went over the horizon 😮 broke 6in above the clip so it wont take a shock maybe .10 or .12 will try again but wont practice in a match so maybe a while
ps dont try to tie the double albright unless your an octopus wielding a vice and several darning needles lol double uni with extra turns on the nano side

I used 0.8 as final nanofil ledgering fishing in the river Arno beginning of the year. I caught two carp weighing about 4 pounds and a dozen small to medium sized barbs. I’d say ‘Good also used as final as well as for the reel wire. Beware of nodes must be executed perfectly. The love we want to loop and knot works well no. Could only get the 0.04 which is very thin theirs no strech at all very finiky tying knots at that diameter, you must be very carefully which knots you tie and make sure you go 2 turns more to stop any slipping, it may be better in thicker strains but I would still go at least 2 more turns, found Palomar knot to be one of the best, I’m still not convinced on the grinner, I’m guessing you would be safe on the pole but still not made mind up on lead work
