15/11/2010 at 1:45 pm #121992
TF_spotter1707The Tri-cast has 5 different combinations so I think it deserves at least 4 more votes so that’s 12 – 9!! Also anybody who has voted for Tri-cast should all have 4 more votes so that makes an extra 16 votes 12-25 I believe!!

TF_dirkdiggleri really like my drennan extra strong.
however i have broken it with a large carp so they aren’t unbreakable.
i had a double figure carp in the net and hold of the pole right next to the spreader block and it smashed giving me some lovely shards of carbon in my fingers.
lesson learned when i net carp now i hold the rim of the net instead.
thankfully that was on the end of the net pole so all i’ve done is put loads of araldite on the broken end and jammed the small extension over the end job done.
it’s lasted another six months and is still fine. -

TF_Fred DavisI have the origenal tourny still going strong bomb proof, I also have the drennan which is unused and stuck in a bag as a spare, however not that I need a new landing net handle I am hearing some great reports about the new browning jobby. Strong but light and a joy to use by all accounts.

Don’t know about you guys, but I always enjoy using a landing net regardless of who makes the handle.
