Looks like fun up there on the Yare at the minute. But if you’re thinking of having a go, get in quick as I understand a feature by a national publication is happening very, very soon.

You might want to leave in for a few days.
They have been some massive tides this week.
The Yare nearly came over the banks at Haven Bridge last night.
Thats a lot of sea water pushing up the river.
Hopefully the EA will have put the barriers up in the boatyards where needed.
And the migratory shoals have kept ahead of the surge and moved up into Norwich.
          Fingers Crossed, 🙂

used to do well for bream at night when staying at a cottage at brundall on the yare.you would not think there was any in the river in the day.soon as night fell dozens of them.used to pre groundbait just before dark brill.

Feeder has summed it up nicely.

I used to fish at Bramerton once a year with some mates. Fill it in then empty it. One night was enough as it was so easy.

I’m not sure of the wisdom of a national doing an article tho’, From the start of the season ’til autumn it’s boat city. On the green you’re lucky to get a spot for moored boats. If you took away the boats from the green and spaced the pegs out properly, there might be 10 pegs…
