Used Russ for joker this weekend ordered 2kg. Weighed them and even with the wet paper on it only came in at 1.6kg. Maybe it was an honest mistake or maybe they just dont expect people to check what they’re getting. Will be weighing all my orders from people in the future.

I am guessing that they are weighed as they are taken out of the tank and are wet. By the time you receive them some of the water has evaporated.

PelletKing, we did ring him and a friend of mine picked us up a bit more off him so fairplay to that, however it does make you wonder what everyone is getting in there match packs etc really. I think you have a fair point, you never know what you’re getting until you get it. Think the general rule of thumb, though might piss tackle shops off, is check the bait before parting with your cash. I’ve always had to do that with lugworm for sea fishing, and have refused to accept the bait sometimes.

I expect to get what i pay for? I understand your loyalty to someone who perhaps supplies your bait and perhaps you’ve never had a problem and it’s just a one off. But Roger get real and think things through? Are you for real? Im merely pointing out that i hadn’t received what we payed for.

If you ordered and payed for 3 pints of maggot and got to your peg to find you only had 1.5 pints and were short would you be pleased, i think not….so Roger no disrespect BUT YOU GET REAL.

NW Cut Angler. I’m not sure mate, im sure some of the water weight will obviously evaporate. But even then i weighed it wrapped in loads of wet paper, 20 mins after receiving it? So it shouldnt lose any weight really or very little i would have thought. Maybe Russ can help us????? All i know is that 2kg is more than 4 pints.

Quality is the key for me. Quite interesting how different countries joker supplies have diff qualities so in certain instances one would be better than the other and so forth.

Mikey strikes me as a decent bloke. Enjoy reading his posts re matchs and NWWorms seems an excellent company. I am available to promote Mikeys future contests though. What weight division are you?

fair point from mikey, and if you pay for a kilo you expect a kilo you shouldnt need to go and weigh it, if you went into a shop and asked for 3 pints of maggots and got home to find only 1.5pts you wouldnt be happy, you wouldnt look at the maggots and think oh well there good maggots so it doesnt matter, i say this as some people seem to think its about the quality and not the quantity you have paid for, but the matter was resolved by russ himself the next day so no harm done
