boat race.

as a flat capped thicko from up north, i was wondering if any of you southern softees (that should have woke-up the PC police) fished father themes along the boat race route?
if so any temptation of casting a plastic pig over the boats?
a few years ago on the trent my good lady was winding in her feeder when a boat, one lady rower, steered right in and the line rolled the boat over dumping the rower into the river 😀 😀
should a similar thing happen on the themes it would make good t.v. 😎

Not fished the Thames, but the rowers are a complete pain in the rear-end on the Cam, and are the reason why I (and a few others I know) don’t fish it any more.

I’ve never known such an inconsiderate bunch of eejits as the bulk of the collage rowers seem to be. You can be the only angler for 200m on the river and the boats will use you as a marker to turn in front of! (you can hear the cox saying turn at the angler 😮 ) Perhaps not a problem on the much larger Thames, but on the much narrower Cam it’s just downright rude.

I did dump a pot of choppy in a rowing eight of women once when they had seen fit to stop right in front of me, which caused much amusement… to me anyway! But I don’t go fishing to argue with toffee-nosed tw@ts in boats, so I no longer fish the Cam.

Once snared a skier on tidal trent at high marnham.
He managed to turn point on me hook,,, but at least i go mi rig back 😀
