TF_paulDMy local shop told me yesterday that browning have got a new pole coming out at Chritmas. He reckons its the Z11. Its going to be dearer than the Z9 which will carry on for a few years. He said that it’s like a Z9 on drugs ;-))
Ive had my Z9 for a couple of years now and its been brill but is a bit battered now so i’m thinking of a new pole next year and don’t fancy going back to another make after the browning. Does anybody out there know anything ? Theres nothing on the browning website. I know some of the browning sponsored lads use this forum. Come on lads, do you know anything ? or is it secret. -

TF_macca63Glad you have posted this, was seriously considering buying a Z9 in the coming weeks so may as well wait and see what this one is like before parting with any cash. Either way if a Z11 is released would imagine the price ofthe Z9 will drop?

TF_Big FinnParticipantIm the Browning Rep for the North West and there is no Z11 coming out this year or next………………………………Its a Z12
I have a weeks trip to Germany next week and will see and hold it for the first time, i have heard by the lads that have tested it that its the dogs muts so watch this space.
The price tag will be inline with other top end poles and not sure the Z9 price will drop as its still our top selling pole.

TF_paulDthanks Lee. will be intresting to see it cos the Z9 will be a hard act to follow. hope my PMK kits fit it. The shop said that the z9 is carrying on but the new pole will be dearer so I suppose the same price as the arity and gmax. got a buyer for my 9 already

TF_Big FinnParticipantYes mate your PMK’s and Tension Pullers will fit the new Z12. I hink the Z9 will still be going for a few years yet.
Im not sure when the Z12 is available poss not until January, I am in Germany from Wednesday so will report back my findings.
Thanks

TF_arrow otterParticipantWhether its a Z11 Z12 or what ever its going to have to be good to be any better than the Z9, i wont be changing mine in a hurry anyway, Brownings Z series is remarkably like Kawasakis Z models of old, and surprisingly the Z9 was their best too 😉

TF_paulDive only seen a couple of z9s for sale secondhand so looks like everybodys hanging on to them. I bought a z2 in the spring for heavy work and its so good i havent used the 9 much this summer. All the z2 sections fit the 9 so ive got the perfect setup and its going to be hard to change. The 12 is going to be pretty special.

TF_paulDLike the look of the z12. I think the same length kits idea is brilliant and cant understand why nobodys done it before. i really hate all the messing about cutting tips back when i get a new pole. Did you try the pole ? hows it compare to a 9 for weight and stiffness ?
Glad to see the Z9 is carrying on cos mine should still be worth a few bob if I sell it for a 12.
!
Where can I get a Browning catalogue ? Ive never seen one in a shop and the screen version the website is a bit difficult to read -

TF_Big FinnParticipantThe top kit idea (SLK) is a very good idea as is the pole protectors with the skid bungs fitted.
I did have hold of the pole for some time and had both the Z9 and the Z12 on my knee, the weight in both poles are simler but the stiffness in the Z12 is miles better than any other pole i have held at 16m.
We dont have any 2012 consumer catalogues as yet as they are still being printed, but you will get to see on in your local shop mate, all shops now have there new 2012 cat.
