Adam bags up on bream to win silvers open
A well contested event saw 32 anglers line up on the Old Lake at Bury Hill fishery for this Silvers open and it was Adam Lee from Banstead who took the honours from peg 1. Using hair rigged corn and a groundbait feeder the bream kept their distance on the feeder line and by catching steadily built up a nice weight of 61lbs 1oz of bream up to 4lbs plus a crucian of 2lbs plus. Robbie Taylor from Delcac drew peg 41 on the Long Bank and feeder fished his way to second place with 57lbs 4oz ahead of 14 year old Bradley Gibbons from Guildford AC who was not far behind with 53lbs 6oz from noted peg 38. Andy Ryan from KC Angling on peg 19 scaled 46lbs 9oz for of bream fourth place pipping Russ Evans NDP10/Sticky Baits who managed 45lbs 8oz from peg 2. Geoff Vallence from Delcac caught mainly on the pole for 40lbs 1oz on peg 24 to make up the frame.
