I just bought a new car (Focus) and am struggling to find any boot liners that also cover the back of the rear seats when folded down. There’s plenty of non slip boot liners out there but not many bigger options to cover folded back seats.

I was looking for something that will cover boot, back of rear folded down seats and the side door cards also. A picnic rug is my best option so far.

The above link looks spot on but won’t cover back seats.

        What do you guys use?

These are advertised in mags and custom liners to your choice, dependent on what you wish to pay

I recentley bought a made to measure boot liner made by a company called Hatch Bag. I am more than pleased with it. The fit is perfect, it is very well made and i’m sure it’ll last for years. http://www.hatchbag.co.uk.

P.S They do various options to cover the seats when flat including a split rear cover if you don’t need to put both seats down.

                Thanks for the links guys!

Rhino was the first one I clicked on and they do everything I need – Side door flaps, holdall flap, bumper flap etc…

However, when I clicked on hatchbag they looked to be made of a more durable pvc material which might make sliding the seatbox/carryall across a bit easier. Although more expensive with a rubber floor mat in on top it still didn’t cover/protect the back of the front seats or the side door cards.

                2 good links though!

I use an old sleeping bag. Soaks up any liquids from nets etc, can be taken out and skakenin seconds, and goes in the washing machine when required.

i just bought one from Rhino for a volvo estate

the mat has two straps that go over the front seats to protect back of seats and the sides are raised to cover side doors and panels they provide velcro fasteners so you only have peel off each time you use

and there is a foldable flap that protects your rear bumper when loading and unloading

the only problem i have found is when i have two seat boxes in car i have to lift in then get in the side door to lift box up against front seat

                        could also look at http://www.boot-buddy.com/index.asp

I have just bought a mondeo and was looking at one. Similar prices to the rhino ones give or take, but again more durable PVC sheeting. Can even be hosed down from the looks of it. Again like the idea of a rigid one as it should make sliding things in and out far easier than a cloth or soft one.

Can;t afford either at the moment mind, so it;s dust sheets for now but will invest once I have the money, not sure in what yet though.

Speak to Martin Dwayne (aka Jaap Stam on the forums) as he makes them to order. Better quality and a better price than any of the shop bought ones. Contact him at his shop here….

I recently bought a Rhino for my SAAB estate and while the quality is good and the fit is good I find it a total pain in the arse to load and unload as the liner gathers up around box legs etc, also the velcro fastening is pretty average and ends up coming off and sticking to everyting.

In the end it protects my car and when the car is full loaded its very good as the sides come right up and the back covers right up to the head rests but I feel the design is flawed by the material they use and the way the velcro fastens to the side of the car, I am considering buying some kitchen/bathroom vinyl to make a base for mine to aid sliding kit in and out.
