I understand that the above match is next Friday on some lakes near Godalming.
Has anyone got anymore info or the organiser Peter Kitchens number?
        Thanks for any help.
        John

Burley – I’m fishing it too so will see you at the draw. Here’s something I posted on this site about a month ago although it’s only about Richardson Lake and the CSSC match will be on two lakes – I’ve never fished the other lakes but you can find out more by searching for Marsh Farm using the “Search” option on the forum. I’ve fished 3 matches there this year with reasonable success. It can be quite peggy and wind affected but my advice would be to start with a small method feeder tight to the far bank but feed lines at 5m coming up the slope and tight to the near bank or reeds if you have them. Be prepared for long spells with no bites, especially in the afternoon. Feed small balls of very soft groundbait (I like the Super G they sell in the shop) so it breaks up quickly and doesn’t roll off down the slope. Most of all, ask in the shop once you have drawn your peg. They are very helpful and will give good advice to anyone. Some pegs also respond to long pole with soft pellet at 14m so worth keeping this line topped up too. Target fish are F1s on the method with tench and crucians on the inside, skimmers on the long pole. It’s quite a shallow lake too – 4ft covers most of it with much less in the margins. Hope this helps and good luck.

Hathers – if you have any current info you have my number!! Come on you Blues….

I thought the CSSC national was on the trent at Burton Joyce last week.
Is there another one or is this a regional job, not heard anything form our organisers.

That was the team National on the Trent (won by Yorkshire region and I managed an impressive last in section for London region – mind you, never even seen the Trent before let alone fished it!) This one is the individual National and any CSSC member can enter it….not been advertised very well because places are limited to the two lakes at Marsh Farm….apparently Gold Valley was too expensive to book so Marsh Farm was chosen instead.

                    shagga,

Thanks for that, I’ll have to look out for it next year.

Is it done on a rotation basis between the regions like the team national?

                    Cheers

boydie it’s whoever gets there name down first in fact even if you have had an invite after fishing the previous year does not guarantee one for the forthcoming following year, I think you have to be alive to when the event is and apply early. It can be anywhere the organiser deems it to be, when I first suggested a commercial the organiser told me over my dead body, ask mick fordham he was there lol however they seem more approachable to imput from the anglers these days, thank god
