TF_joffmiester51lb won the match at clifton Jim clayton fished feeder after seeing a bream turn over in the gin clear water he ended up with 7 bream to 7lb one barbel 6lb and two chub the biggest 6lb just below him Simon had a late run of bream netting four in the last hour for a total of six for 30lb 3rd Arron wells had 11lb bits and a 4lb barbel most caught dace and the average weights were around four to five pounds
lets hope the roach start to feed againi must just add the bailiff has done a wonderfull job on all the pegs great big platforms and steps down to them a real pleasure to fish there and all done off his own back
and you can park behind every peg
this is whats needed to bring angling back to riversa spot on venue and with matches being run by simon and swino throughout the winter on saturdays the future looks bright
first match is this saturday -

TF_redarmygood to hear that joff i definately think over the next couple of years the trent will re emerge as a first class match water.i know theres a lot of matches already with these and colins at newark but i think more will follow, would be nice to see one of the team champs finals back on there got to be better than the nene.

TF_joffmiesteryes mate there are a few pegs that you can’t fish and i think they are clifton bridge AS but i’m sure simon and swino will be able to use some of them we fished 12 above and 10 down

TF_bremesParticipantCheers joff,i think swinno put some of those pegs below the bridge in last year as well as the rugby field,i had a Clifton AS ticket for a season about 4yrs ago, just to go barbelling in the evening, safe parking was 90% the reason~sick.Think i will give swinno a bell and book in for sat, make a change ~clap.

TF_joffmiesterpegs on the rugby pitch have been cleared ready and you can park behind your peg there as well
and then its back over the other side to the embankment which swino has permanently pegged giving loads of room
just one word of warning it a angler comes and fishes in between you there is nothing you can do ~sick -

TF_bremesParticipantYeah i drew the last peg on the rugby field on the 2nd match last year, right below the bridge(excellent pervy totty spotting above 😉 ),just 50yds up from the other side where i had 40 odd lb of slabs in 3hrs the week before, only difference was there was colour in river that day, none on swinnos match week after~sick.Should be fun on the embankment there is a “quite” footy match on sat,Forest v Millwall lol.

TF_kevrusselliyou might get a really happy match on the embankment if the spliffers get between you LOL. Also had the clifton bridge ticket few years back, some proper fish in that bit, loads of carp, bream and barbel. platform have been up for a few years so they have been put in proper.

TF_kevrusselliwhen i used to work in Notts i used to cycle along the embankment, it was like the spliffers had been pegged out most days, sometime even at 7 in the morning. just a word of warning, keep all your gear, rod bag etc, close by you where you can see it without turning around.
