The third issue of ‘Coarse & Match Fishing Monthly’ – the video magazine for coarse and match anglers – went live this morning and is free to view here on Total-Fishing.com – including new pieces from Will Raison, Steve Ringer, Andy Bennett (Kamasan Matchman of the Year), Bob Roberts and Mick Wilkinson…

Nice…….like the idea. Question for Gareth, how many Mb per magazine? For those on a limited service or looking to use a smartphone this would be useful to know.

Only one picky thing about the presenters:-

What is it with this habit of the yoof of today speaking every sentence as if it’s a question? For me, it pains the ears to hear english spoken this way.

You really need a 1 meg + connection to have good quality – you can watch at just over half a meg but the quality drops down. So you might struggle with regular dongles. Any wireless connection should be fine (although sometimes in hotels wireless is poor).

As for browsers I’m using Google Chrome most of the time because I’ve found it glitchy on Internet Explorer….

OK….soooo….how many megabytes of content constitutes a magazine, I appreciate the need for connection speed, but what does it eat up of my available download limit. On a mobile smartphone unless you are on the right contract you can be paying loads of wonga to watch even the shortest movie.

If you watch it on 3G yes. If you connect to wireless then it should not be a problem (especially if it’s not yours). Simple answer is I don’t know – and can’t know – it depends entirely on the quality you watch it in and that depends on your available broadband. It defaults to 796…. but with drop to just over 500 if you don’t have enough broadband.
