daiwa whisker allterrain vs the tourny pro?

is there really much in them looking to upgrade from a maver 301 and been looking for a tourny but after reading some old posts i found through google they say there isnt a lot of difference? any info would be great thanks lewis

My friend has The All Terrain and i’ve had pro’s and now have a pro x. The Whisker is a brilliant pole for the money but isnt in the same league when fishing past 14.5m. Up untill that there isnt much in it, but the difference is noticeable at 16m.

ok thanks im look to get a decent 16m pole as a lake i fish you have to use 16m or 16.5m to reach the island so it msay be worth keep on saving then thanks for the reply

The pro is a far better pole, especially at the longer lengths as Mikey has said.

Though you were going to get an Elite 77 Lewis? There is a good one going for £1250 on MFS and your 301 would be brilliant back up and spares for it.

bear in mind if you buy a tourney pro,
with the match number one out it’ll measure 15.2 metres so you’ll need an ext too.
with mine i’ve measured it to 16m + ins with the short number 4 and the ext and it fishes great like that.
i’d imagine an all terrain will be the same and with an ext on that it’ll be an unfishable bendy banana ~think
