  Hi All
  Does any of you own the diawa tornament bib, brace and jacket in the gortex range, with today being a heavy down pour mine leaked on the upper leg, as anyone else had this problem as I was told they dont leak ~think

  Sat out in mine all day no prob have you washed them and if so have you reproof them after as should be ok if so give sandra a ring at halkon hunt for help

  sat out allday in torrential rain at Hayfields & mine were fine. I re proofed them with grangers 2in1 last time thy needed a wash.

  sat out in mine all day yesterday and was fine,there were two other anglers packed away and went home because there clothing “NOT GORTEX” leaked, my only casulty was the seams on my boots leaked towards the end so they’re getting sorted.

  yes had mine a few months and started to leak near the knee,jut wash and reproof although they do state reproof after every fourth wash

  If they leaked on the upper leg what state were they in regarding being clean of slime and groundbait?
  
  Doesn’t matter how expensive your goretex is, if you have rubbed in groundbait or any mud or rest your elbows or pole on the thighs it will cause water to penetrate at some point and in a torrent the water is forced all the more in. The dirt gives the water a pathway through the membrane.
  
  If it leaked near the seams then check the integrity of the taping and get it returned to the shop you bought it from not H H as the shop is responsible for the sale and aftersales backup.

  There were a few Goretex wearers with wet patches after the match at Mallory yesterday!!

  thats the 4th time ive fished in 6 hours of heavy duty rain !!!! only thing that leaked water was me landing net due to having loads holes in it and me reebok classics,,!

  Cutnut the upper leg have had some heavy groundbait and slim embeded in them from previous sessions no doubt so you think a wash and reproof should sort the problem ?
  I will try this and hope for another downpour saturday LOL to test them out
