over the past 100 years our once great nation has gone from british empire to refugee rubbish bin. WHY???. the phrase lions led by donkeys seems to fit quite nice. now it seems if your in this country uninvited and can hide for 14 years your classed as a squatter. you could not begin to make that one up. also if your a member of the hated E.U. and expecting a child. come over to london, have your baby delivered and cared for free of any charges plus if you cannot speak the native tongue , no problem we will supply an inerpretor and ( wait for it )you can claim child benifit go home and we will send you the money till your child reaches the age of 16. how will we pay for this ~think well after weve bailed out GREECE, PORTUGAL,IRELAND, to the tune of 120 billion we will stop giving free food to those lazy pensioners by reducing the amount of money we supply to the local councils so we can blame them for reductions in care.we will privatise the NHS through the back door and save millions by closing as many hospitals as we can get away with, after all it will be the G.Ps fault if they continue to send their patients to private care at the nations cost. but there,s a slight downside to all this we need lots of cash so we can kill lybian women and children so we may have to sack lots of private soldiers, but dont worry we will use the old R.A.F. trick of sacking them before there entitled to a pension. simples. when historians look back at this country,s history they will deduce that up to 1945 the people had testicles and after that the people were bribed into handing them over in return for sky TV, an a nice car.they will notice how the government allowed the pension pot to be plundered whilst succesive goverments failed to make adequate provision and how the allowed the private sector to steal the money in their pension funds without redress. but the one thing that will stand out more than most is the ammount of money each household paid into the banks coffers in order for the banks to maintain there bonus/high pay culture. plus the amount paid to brussels will i expect be challenged by historians as simply not true, no nation would allow its government to spend such vast amounts whilst there own people suffered mass unemployment. If it was run like a proper account and you could only draw out what you, or your family, paid in there’d be no point for the waifs and strays of the world to pitch up here.

As Europeans we all have to swallow a bitter pill that comes with integraton and progression. The Eu was initially set up to stop war and promote trade between European States. It has done so effectively and we all have benefited as a result.

Our ecomony has returned to a growing one. Exports are up. Tax revenue last year was higher than anticipated.Irelands financial difficulies are as a result of a financial bail out to private banks and european bond holders to save the euro. Many of us are against it but that is the way the politicians have decided to do it.

From what I hear you (UK) are suffering financial problems for different reasons. Who pays for all these wars in the middle east. The public my friend.

As Europeans, some got to have their say on whether they wanted to be in it, and had to keep on having a say until they said the right answer – and some didn’t.

It was set up to stop war and promote trade but seems to have accidentally morphed into some sort of big-brother soviet-style republican government riddled with financial corruption. I may have been careless but I failed to spot this bit of detail on the blueprint.

Whether we have all benefitted is very much a matter of opinion and depends on a countries nett contributions and receipts. It looks to me like the rest of the membership has benefitted at Britain and Germany’s expense, oh and the Kinnock family, of course.
