Can anyone recommend an F1 float for fishing in around 5ft of water needs to be fairly stable as it blows a bit on the lake I need them for.

For stability in that type of water I think the Drennan Lake takes some beating but don’t use the eye if there are a fair few proper carp about.

If the water isn’t too choppy then a Gerry’s of Nottingham TBF in the larger sizes.

Something with a long tip to help bury the line and back shotted.

Nick Gilbert now does the “finesse” in .8,1g,1.2g and 1.5 gram and I would highly recommend them for deeper pegs. Excellent for both maggot or pellet fishing.

Hillbilly Frosties or Thin Chumps, wouldn’t dream to use anything else, super strong and with lots of finesse.
