Hi i am after a new feeder rod to chuck the method up to 100yrds can anyone tell me if there is alot of difference other than price between the daiwa tournament 12/13 and the spectron m2 12/13 as i like the idea you can change the lenght of the rod by using the 1′ extention

You’ll not be chucking a method feeder 100yds with either of those rods mate.
The Spectron 11/13 is better at 13 ft than the 12/13 but the 2ft piece has an eye on it.
The Tournament Pro is a more beefy rod but i’m sure you’d break it trying to cast 100yds with it.
I have a 13ft Hardy Marksman Extreme Feeder which is much more the ticket.
Allied to the lifetime guarantee it really gives you the confidence to wind it up knowing if you do smash it you’ll get a new one free.

Suspect one of the Dutchmaster range would be a viable cheaper option, the 14ft 130 gm is well capable of making the distance….. But having seen the Hardy in action it certainly fits the bill….. but the 350+ dabs could be stretching!!

            😮

i have thought about the dutch master as some use them for the chuck never saw a hardy marksman rod before it was the idear of the mini extention i liked as not every chuck would be to the full distance so could possibly still use the same rod for a 70yrd chuck has anyone used the rods mentioned i have read the write up on the hardy rod but seems abit dear to the other rods.

You probably need two rods then mate, the one foot ext may take you from 60-70 turns up to 80-90 turns but neither of the rods you mention are true range weapons.
If your pushing up to 100yds with either you will break them.
Cheaper options for a range rod would be a Browning King Feeder or the aforementioned Dutchmaster range.
If your not going mental with the casting though i’d give the Spectron M2 11/13 a go, it’s a very nice rod and better at 13 ft than the 12/13 M2 and can be had cheaply too as they are now discontinued.

I hope that you can afford the Hardy extreme as it is £449

Have a look at the Frenzee 13 power feeder, will easily chuck 100yds and cheaper, better quality than those you mentioned

The original Marksman 13′ Extreme Feeder quickly became a cult rod. The new 13′ version is based on the same successful blank that makes this a great rod. Supero means ‘to surpass ‘ and this new range of top-quality rods does this by a long way.

Marksman Supero Extreme Feeder 12ft with 1.5oz, 2.5oz & 3.5oz hollow carbon quivertips

This serious feeder rod is capable of casting well in excess of 100 metres! It’s surprisingly lightweight and responsive, which has been achieved by using higher modulus carbons, along with better balanced hollow carbon quivertips. The latter blend extra smoothly with the high modulus blank, creating less bounce and friction on the cast, while magnifying every tiny indication. This rod is built for demanding tasks, or targeting really big fish.

Similar rod to the 12ft design but capable of casting event greater distances, and yet it’s lightweight and very responsive. Much of this is due to better balanced hollow carbon quivertips, which create less friction on the cast, while highlighting every tiny bite indication. This amazing rod is built for demanding tasks, such as casting long range, fishing powerful rivers, or targeting really big fish.
