How do you do it, is it best fished laid on a lot, tripping bottom, holding it back or slowly edging it down the swim, do you over shot?

all of the above, dependent on flow and where fish are in your swim.~think

all of those mate.usually start off laid on and held still but if not getting bites try inching through and running through.up to 1 gram overshotted works fine for me but any more than that i switch to a heavier float. andy.

Use Cralusso torpedo for nailing bait still, with a couple of feet of line on deck with droppers. Plumb up so olivette is just off bottom. Get an adjustable spray bar or feeder arm with a narrow rod rest head to hold pole, then move feeder arm up or down leg on seatbox to get right angle of retardment between pole tip and float bristle. You just want three or 4mm of bristle showing. When it goes under, a small lift and the fish should be on.

For edging through, best floats IMO are Cralusso Bubble pattern. Cralusso do a huge range of sizes for each float model.

For holding it dead still use a rest as North Ender said but a further tip is to back shot it with a couple of big ones. I use at least 2 BB but will go to 2 swan in a real hard flow. Have the shot hanging from the tip just above the water.

Cralusso DVD is availabe in the UK for a lot less than it is from Ireland.

                    PM if anybody needs details.
