Furnace Mill, Mill Pool

Hi everyone.
New member and first post – so hi to all.
I have a club match at Furnace Mill coming up. Its on Mill Pool.
Anyone ever fished this pool? Dont think its used for the opens.
Checked the website but not too much info. apart from general stuff.
Anyone have any info on methods, baits, elastic settings etc?.
I did hear that you could get bitted out by the orfe and to use big baits.

hi mate i fish the opens there i won off mill pool about 4 weeks ago had 99lb caught on paste out and down the edge over corn and micro pellet . make the paste out of the micro pellets green ones they take some needin but will go eventually the lake is very shallow most of it is 2to 3ft deep the deepest bein 4 to5 ft fish one line at 6mtr and 1 at 13 mtr also down the edges loads of small carp and f1s with odd bigger carp in between dont need to go to heavy white hydo and 0.16 straight trough to 14 hook for paste rigs and set corn pellet rig up with 0.14 hook lenght to 18 hookfloats 4x10s to 4x12s will cover all the lake

PS. Must have been a p*sser to miss out on the ton by ounces….ouch!
