wanger, on the pechemaniac forum it is mentioned that the M1 will be the flagship pole in france next year and should come with stripper kits or similar.most likely the pole will replace the 1000 this side of the channel as well.

There was a bit about it on the match fishing scene website last week.

I have actually had the pleasure of playing with the new Garbolino poles. They now feature some interesting Formula1 type technology.
The butt sections have a ribbed weave on them which will help shipping when wet, a bit like a wet weather tyre. They will also offer an option of smooth butt sections (like Daiwa) for when a dry day is forecast and Intermediate sections for a day which cannot make it’s mind up wether to rain or not. They also have flexible carbon technology (like a Red Bull or Ferrari front wing) which is stiff but bends when under load. I can however exclusively reveal that the ‘Blown’ version has been withdrawn from sale due to excessive heat build up around the top kit which melted the elastic during use. Only time will tell if these new innovations will catch on, maybe a change in match rules will need to be introduced to force competitors to use at least 2 different butt compounds during a match, who knows!!!!!
