Friend has recently had his 11m and 13m joints snap !Has anyone else heard of anything similar? You normally expect wear and tear joints like no4’s going but to have 11 and 13 joints go in consecutive weekends i think is unheard of for a flagship pole ?

I would suggest you talk to your Local Garbo Rep about this ,

Those pictures look as if it has been been abused rather than a manufactor defect as you usualy get a cleaninsh break with something that has not been made properly .

Those sections on my Gmax1000 are as strong as an OX.

100% defective sections. The breaks are too clean to be anything other than that. With mishandled sections, you will get a long, almost crushed part of the break where the mishandling has occurred.

100% the opposite opinion to DW. They are very untidy breaks and if I had to guess I would say the sections have fallen against a stone or other relatively sharp edge and fractured the first time pressure has been exerted on them. It looks like a crush to me. The only way faulty sections break is due to a ‘dry wrap’, where either the pre-impregnated resin has leached out during the curing process because of a faulty tape-wrap, or where the resin wasn’t there in the first place. It’s always a 100% clean break like it’s been cut with a sharp knife. Faulty sections will also break the first time they are subjected to a load.

Looks as if is fallen of a roller at some point and put a dent in then snapped at a later date will be seeing Neil at Lindholme and show him picture and see what he says and will let u know
My 14mtr snapped but was a flaw in carbon the inner and outerwall came apart and it snapped but that happened a week after I got it broke a few matchlite topkits but they where my fault
