TF_MICK THE BOOKIE~sick ~sick ~sick Although Paul was a Spurs player,i loved the way he played the game.He was a brilliant talent, and he became an idol for us all when he played for England.Yes..like all geniuses he was flawed, and now the man has reached his rock bottom.
Like George Best,Rodney Marsh and Stan Bowles our Paul loved a drink and the craic with his mates among other things. But on hearing that he has just been nicked in possession of “Charlie” i think we have finally seen the end of one of the greatest footballers of our time.
I sincerely hope that while incarceration Paul will somehow fight the demons that have plagued his life, and comes out a better man.
With all the talk on Rooney flying about, lets hope he does not follow down the same road.~think ~think ~think -

Phantom-RasberryMost highly talented people seem to have a fatal flaw, and seem to have a self distruct button. There but for the grace of God.

TF_Serious SamHe’s a ____, couldn’t give a monkeys if he was just hurting himself but he makes a habit of drink driving and I’ll be glad to see him locked away before he kills someone.
He had everything and ______ it all up the wall, no sympathy whatsoever.
Modded – your bad langauge on this forum is not welcome.

Envious are you mad ~sick
I would rather have my life which is sometimes boring with the ritual going to work and coming home to my family most days and then a bit of fishing at weekends. He`s a drunk wife beating scumbag who could play football well, and i bet you all the money in the land he would swap my life with his~think

TF_DecaffOnce owned a Private Hire Car firm in St Magarets(Family still own it) Gazza was just about to marry Cheryl who lived over the road,we cabbed him loads of times all over the place,my brother often used to have him laying down in the back of his car to evade the Press.
Fished with him down on the Lea a couple of times,he wasn’t always the character he is today!
I genuinely feel sorry for him, that’s not to say I condone what he has done,I don’t.
He couldn’t cope with fame, the pressures of an ill advised marriage & life without football, plus of course, the Hangers On,the curse of many a star! -

Del-boyParticipantThe guy was an absolute legend as a player. I watched him week in week out when he was at his prime playing for Glasgow Rangers. I’ve also read a few players books who played alongside him and they’ve said he was one of the kindest guys you were ever likely to meet.
Yeah he’s had problems but none of us know what’s around the corner and we shouldn’t be too quick to be judge and jury. It’s pretty obvious he’s had mental health problems for some time.
I hope he comes out of this a better person and I for one wish him all the best. ~clap ~clap ~clap

It was a great goal he scored that day against his then team mate and boozing buddy Andy Goram.
I knew you’d have sympathy for him Piperpilot as I know you’ve had more than your fair share of mental health problems yourself. Another 6 month on the prozac should see you alright though. Good luck with your recovery mate and try your best not to give in to the voices.~clap ~clap ~clap
