I tried it a few times and used gelatine, which you get in sachets from the supermarket.to be honest i never got them quite right.i have been using the ringers next generation expanders for about 9 months and can’t praise them enough. besides using them on the pole i have also used them on the waggler and feeder and had no problem with them coming off.they are a firmer pellet when you have pumped them than some of the other brands.

fishcatcher, do you prefer the ringers pellet to my choice the rs pellet as i love the rubbery texture of these pellets

Melt some gelatine powder in a small ammount of boiling water boil it so the gelatine fully dissolved then pump the liquid into the pellets under vacuum in a pellet pump when they absorb the liquid quickly which they do rinse the pellets off in a colander and bang em in the fridge overnight.

                ^ what he said!

just let the water cool to room temp b4 adding to pellets or u will get a mush!

I dissolve double the amount recommended on the packet in hot water making sure all the crystals have melted. Put your pellets in a pellet pump and then cover with gelatine mix.

You can vary the jelly content/hardness of the pellet by how many times you prime and release the vacuum in the pump, i.e. if you pump and release the vaccum twice you will have quite a hard/rubbery pellet. Do it three times and the pellet will be slightly softer.

You don’t need to soak the pellets, just pump and prime.

yes mate i prefer the ringers but if you like the rs try what the other lads have said about the gelatine.
