        whilst fishing in a club match on the river don yesterday a group of 5 “bmx bandits” came on the footbridge i was underneath+started hurling huge pebbles into the river next thing i hear is “fiver if you can hit that long thing thing hes using” ! after missing my pole by inches i put it up the bank+started fishing the feeder so they then started aiming at me+my 4 top 4s on the bank !after one pebble landed on my keepnet i went onto the bridge but they had cleared off i went back+picked the pole up guess what they were back i went back upon to the bridge with the same outcome a security guard from the disused building rang for the police who asked for a description+left so i went back carried on thinking theyll not come back now the police have been WRONG 5 mins later there pelting me again so had no alternative but to pack up +go +watch my mates it was not the return to river fishing i was planning 😡

              I wouldn’t fish near a bridge – not going to throw stones at you from above then [unless they’re friends of ET] !

                in one of our winter matches on the local cut some1 whizzed a TELLY off the bridge right next to one of the anglers!!

                  Had a similar problem on the upper trent years ago with a bunch of hippies throwing stones at my rod. Not been on a river since.

                    Once had a gang of gypsys throw house bricks down an embankment at me ! Set of C”£TS gypsys they want locking up and I cant beleive television producers have the audacity to promote programmes with them on 😡 Only TV they should be on is crime watch !!!

                      I take it you were on the earth centre at Denaby shep, its a good peg that I bet Tanky paid em to do it! 🙂 Seriously I would speak to the people that run it, I know they cant be there all the time, but if the baliff can find out their names the Police can visit them. Used to have the same problem on the viaduct lower down near the quarry, now that was dangerous, paving slabs from 250 foot didnt half cause a disturbance 😮 thats why they stopped pegging it.

                        ha ha nice one bob listen mate tank doesnt need to pay anyone to nacker a good peg up for me im more than capable of doing that myself :eek lets just say it was an eventfull experience ps for anyone interested the river fished its head off (in other pegs 🙁 ) 41lb skimmers won 28lb second 23lb third other back ups were 18/16 ect 😀
