I really like PR36’s for hair rigging but I’m trying to find something with a wide gape in small 18/20 sizes that has a decent size eye to get fairly heavy traces through knotless knot style.
        Any ideas?

Been using tubertini 861s with very good results for hair rigging for a while now.

Here is what Tubertini say – The new Tubertini Series 861 hook is a barbless eyed pattern, made from a black-chrome material, that makes it a very strong hook. With quite a short shank and a wide gape, which should provide a very good hold in the fish’s mouth. Perfect for hair-rigging when commercial carp are the target. 15 per pack.

Might be what your looking for.

Drennan hair riggers are good, strong & sharp.
                          Regards Peter.

Another vote for Drennan hair riggers, 3 different types so choose wire gauge to suit

I like QM1s for method and short hooklengths, Fox 2 and B911 for most other work.
