        Hi all,

I was wondering what everyone uses to attach mini boilies (8mm) to their hair rigs when fishing the method. If you try and drill them they seem to split… Is there any manufacturer that sells bayonettes or spikes at all???

All i do is buy a packet of eyed hooks(size is down to prefrence) and cut the bend off so it leaves a nice straight piece which is ideal for pushing straight into the boilie. It will not split and they usualy stay on for a few fish

            thanks fisherman phil.

Do you know any company that sells these already done at all or is it a DIY job like kinder pots used to be?

Mustaad sell them and the shaft has 3 barbs on it. They are very thin diameter but the length makes them suited to 20mm baits. I just trim the spikes down with some nips for 8-10mm baits.

I always drill my mini boilies 8mm-10mm,with an ESP bait drill.never had one split yet.boilies normally split or break while drilling if they have dried out too much,or if you press too hard while drilling them.
