Any winter tip for this venue please, or info for how to fish it this time of year.

I was thinking about a simple groundbait and maggot approach to catch anything that swims, as i have been told its fishing realy hard at the moment.

Thanks again Lump for the info,

I fished a long pellet line for the skimmers from outer 17, feeding small balls of micro’s and fishing pellet and maggots over the top. I managed to win the match with 87lb, and never saw a skimmer all day as the carp seemed to move over the pellets strieght away.

The only problem was i was fowl hooking carp, tryed fishing off the deck, tryed fishing away from the tight feed area, but could’nt get a pull. I ended up fishing blue hydro to prevent hook pulls and had two lumps out hooked in the tail.

Any idears on how to get around this problem.

Hi Lump

I only fed a toss pot size ball of micros after each carp, what would you usually feed, and would you feed micros loose or in balls due to the depth of water.

Hi Lump you never had that problem Foul Hooked Fish because you never used to catch F**K ALL LOL.~think ~think ~think
