          Hi Gaz.

If you’re on Island lake and draw an island or scaffold bar peg, start there on the method feeder with micros and a hard pellet on the hair. Use 0.22mm hooklength, 0.25mm on the bar pegs in the 40s! Anywhere else and aswell as I’d start by loosefeeding a long pole line with 6mm pellets for fishing up in the water, normally 3 to 5ft deep, use 0.18mm hooklength and 6 or 8mm pellet. If that’s not working, feed 8mm pellets as far as they comfortably go and try the bomb, waggler or method over it, again 0.18 on the wag, 0.20 or 0.22 bomb and 0.22 method. Double 8mm normally best on the bomb. Waggler can be good on Adams but not so much on Island lake. Also worth trying the bomb or method over the pole line or even pole on the bottom but a bit of a pain landing them on top 6s! Meat close in works but really need a spare peg and works better in the evening, same for margins, only feed if you’re an end peg or have at least 2 spare pegs and then fill it in to the next pallet!

Forgot rules, no catmeat, floaters, pop ups, 16M limit on pole, no elasticated feeders, all feeders and bombs must be free running, barbless hooks only, groundbait by cup or feeder only, maximum 3 tins of luncheon meat, fishery pellets only, no handlining.

No pop ups?? Jamie Wild did a feature for match fishing on Adams a few weeks ago and he used them. Is this ban recent?
