It was less than good as a trout fishery and it hasn’t improved as a course fishery for match fishing. Don’t expect a big weight, do expect a heart attack or hernia if you are not allowed to drive down and drop off and collect your kit. You might get a ride on a quad and trailer if the bailiff/groundsman is about. Not really a match water, fine for sitting out in fine weather and admiring the scenary.
I’m reasonably local to the water and haven’t been back in 4 years and nobody I know who fishes locally would make a point of going….but don’t let that put you off. Things change, you just might have a good day.
