I think you mean Merrys. Fisho qualifier was won there a few weeks back, 160odd lb small carp on pellet wag. Loads of silvers skimmers too so most approaches work. Some pegs you can pole up to islands some have open water. Use fishery pellets only for hook and feed but they are cheap enough so no problems there.
I would take a couple of bags of 8mm £2 a bag on site and some maggots for short pole.
If its warm they will be up if not bomb works too so set up pellet wag and bomb rig for same line. Feed short with maggot with a strung out on the drop rig and you will bag up.
If you have an island to fish to then hard pellets work fed by pole cup or catty.
Love Messingham lakes, I had 160 odd last weekend on Swan but found feeding to be critical, used half a bag of 8mm in a 6 hour match. If you fed heavily they went so go easy on the feed until you have sussed out how they want it .
