TF_iansi01354Hi, to be honest I would challenge them on the need to have photos or receipts for all the details you have listed. Fair enough for the major items, I would expect to have to have listed and proved items over £1k ie TPX but the rest they are having a laugh!
I suggest you mention you may have no option to consider referring your case to the ombudsman and see if there is a change of tune!
They are not allowed to make unreasonable or unrealistic demands to prevent claims and I would suggest photos of keep net arms, receipts for £2 per float etc is just that!!
I am convinced they try it on and hope you won’t push back!! If they refuse ask for written details of their complaints procedure, legally they have to provide it and then deal with you within the statutory guidelines set out therein.
Racks me off to see the corporate machines trying to wing it!!!!

TF_Smedon the other side of the coin, using someone else photos and passing them off as your own could be deemed as fraud….

TF_JohnHI dont think they can do this either, what they may do is send a loss adjuster to make sure you were not under insured. Imagine, god forbid, your house burnt down and you lost everything. How the heck do they expect you to prove what you had?
They would simply make an assessment based on the size of your house, number of bedrooms etc. In my experience they will try to bully you down on your claim, thats how loss adjusters get paid. However you have a genuine claim, presumably the police were involved, and if you have cover they have to pay up. Stick to your guns and they will have to pay but if you dont have enough cover they will hold back part of the claim. -

TF_Vince8Are you somewhere in Europe mate? You have a lot of UK tackle there and a very meticulous list of things lost. Where did you buy them, if by internet you should be able to find suitable records of purchases.
There’s a lot of this going on in the UK but some are not genuine. A bit like car insurance scams with people claiming for all sorts of injuries in staged accidents.
