Iv just returned to match fishing after a 6 year break, back then I was using a hollow elastic from fox.
From what iv read and been told the Preston stuff is now taking my fancy, as anyone got a rough guide of how each of theres compares to standard latex sizes,
        Cheers

Can not comment on latex but been using the Prestons range for a few years and never had a problem, tried Hydro but for the price i would stick to using hollow.

And how does each grade of the preston stuff compare to a standard latex, for instace if I wanted to use a solid elastic around a 10-12, what Preston one should I be looking at

It’s hard to give them a firm rating. I almost exclusivley use the Preston hollo over hydro now as I find they are consistsant from packet to packet. As a rough rule if you knock the number down one (11h = 10, and so on) you perhaps won’t be far out, but it all depends on how you had the lakky’s set and how far the pole tip is cut back etc etc!
