        got me a nice rod for beer money, lovely daiwa whisker kev 13 foot with spliced tip. its the bronze blank with goldy coloured weave and burgundy whippings. How old? 20 years? and did i get a bargain at £25?

              If it is the Harrier Carbo Whisker series and the code on the rod is CWM13FST then it was first isted in the 1989 consumer brochure. The RRP was £105.00

                  i think pipe’s right, late 80’s. you cant get rods like this anymore. just put a reel and stick on it. off to the nearest river. 😀 laters!

                    It sounds more like the WKM Martin, similar era, maybe 1987-ish? It will be the WKM13ST I guess. More expensive than the old CWM, about £135 new I think. Strong as anything! I had a 200lb+ hammerhead on the 10ft spinner and Roy Marlow may still have a tarpon fly rod converted from the carp blank!
