TF_Waveney OneMy platform slipped on the Bure at St Benetts, it was either into the river or twist round and try and head for the rocks. I managed to get half onto the rocks and half in the river. Severely bruised my shoulder, so much so that I can’t raise my upper arm hardly at all so was unable to cast properly. Fished for an hour went walkabout then came back and packed up up early.
Arm still hurts and has now developed pins and needles in my fingers. If it doesn’t get better a trip to the quack’s might be required. 16 and a half stone landing on a shoulder might have done some proper damage I feel.

TF_Waveney OneHi Tim, at least you got to fish. Did you see Aaron up there. Suffolk only had 6 for the qualifier at Barford it seems they may change things a bit next year.

TF_SwimfeederI fished the Broads championship and drew a nice peg on the river Thurne below Potter Heigham, I had a bite a chuck (as did most anglers in my section) small fish on the pole or feeder were present in their thousands, I went for the win and put over a kilo of worm and 3 pints of casters and a tin of corn through a medium sized Nisa feeder to try and get the bigger Bream interested but they did not play ball, I was catching well, just small hand sized Skimmers and small Roach but adding to my weight all the time…………………… when a mini tidal wave surged down the river flooding everyone and everything for miles! I put it down to a small earthquake at the time, but it now transpires it was Waveney One and his faulty platform!.
I ended up winning my section and placing 6th overall out of over 80 anglers fishing, I had a lovely days fishing and won 2 prizes on the raffle! ………… I am not complaining, but I cannot help wondering what might have been if it were not for that fat sod from Needham Market in Suffolk taking a bloody dip. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀Here’s a link to the results http://www.ndaa.org.uk/page55.html I am the good looking dude on the far right of the photo, I have my hand up Brian Weavers jumper and am saying “A Gottle of Gear” whilst Brian pretends to be Lord Charles my ventriloquists dummy, we had a right laugh, Lee got a little too excited by the looks of his pants,………he don’t get out much apparently. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
