Only been once this year on an open but doesn’t seem to have changed much as to the basics.
Method to the island if you draw it and pole at 5m + 13m are safe bets although there are a few pegs that can pole the island but its long at 16m on a few and beyond on others. Margins can be all or nothing but need feeding and fishing late in the natch. Pellet I think is still the no1 bait but corn and meat can work at times, especially on the method.
Caster up in the water is also a winner but bleedin’ expensive to do right, better to go the pellet route.
Feed little and often, keep things tight and dot your rigs down, its typical F1 stuff but 50-100lb needed to win most matches with good backing weights.
